STAFF DETAILS
Coach Kali Capps is a private pitching coach and Head Softball Coach at Rogers High School in Spokane, WA. She also manages and coaches a Women’s Tournament Team that includes players who have competed professionally, in the Olympics and in the Softball World Cup.
Coach Capps has worked hard to grow the game throughout the country. She teamed up with the Women’s Fastpitch Softball Association to start a league to provide Women 18 and over the opportunity to play fastpitch softball recreationally. It was the first of its kind in California and only the second in the country. Because of the league’s success, Capps started two more leagues in the surrounding areas. Capps also created a handbook to allow others to start softball leagues in their communities. There are now over 30 leagues across the country. Capps has over 10 years of experience as a USA and NFHS certified umpire.
Growing up in California, Capps had the opportunity to play with and compete against the top athletes in the sport. As a pitcher, Capps learned from some of the best coaches in the game including Mike Smith, Art Lilly, and Jerry Frasier. Capps competed at West Texas on a full ride scholarship.
