Alumnae Emily Lowell was announced as Head Coach this past 2021 season. A native of Brandon, Vt., Lowell takes the reins of the program after a decorated playing career for the Spartans turned into a coaching opportunity at the University of New Haven in Connecticut. Lowell spent two seasons as a graduate assistant with the NCAA Division II Chargers, conducting practices, recruiting, and managing other areas of the fledgling New Haven program. Following an inaugural 2017 season that saw the Chargers go winless, Lowell joined the staff for the 2018 campaign and helped the program win two games in its second year and five games in its third.
Lowell was a standout on the field for Castleton from 2015 to 2017, leading Castleton in scoring during her junior and senior seasons. She parlayed a 38-point senior season into North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-NAC and Longstreth/NFHCA All-New England East Region honors.
