The adidas Tennis Camps will be hosting the Michael Filipek Tennis and Sports Academy Camp for the 10th year at Avon Old Farms School. Located just outside of Hartford, CT, Avon Old Farms School features 9 tennis courts and some of the best athletic facilities in the northeast. Come see why this camp sells out every year!

Overnight Check In: Overnight Campers check-in on Sunday between 2:00 – 3:00pm at Pelican Dorm.
Day Campers Check In: Extended Day and Day Campers should check-in Monday 8:30am at the courts. After the first day, Extended Day and Day Campers should arrive at 8:45am at the tennis courts.
Extended Day Camper Pick-up: Extended Day Campers are to be picked up each day at 6:15pm at the tennis courts
Day Camper Pick-up: Day Campers are to be picked up each day at 5pm at the tennis courts.
Check Out: Parents are invited to attend the match play tournaments that begin at 3:00pm on the final day. Check-out for ALL CAMPERS will take place at 4:00pm at the tennis courts.
Below is a suggested list of items to bring to camp. We suggest that campers do not bring expensive personal items such as cameras, iPods/iPads, etc. Cell phones are allowed in the dorms and dining areas, but not on the courts during training sessions. Please label every article you bring to camp. All items will be the responsibility of the camper. adidas Tennis Camps and its staff are not responsible for lost, stolen or forgotten items.

Players are grouped first by age and then by ability. The first session is an assessment session – we will update groups after the first day
Trainers are on site to aid in illness, injury prevention and first aid.
All campers are required to have a completed health form in order to participate at camp. You can either fill out our health form or use the doctors form and use our form as a cover page. Please fill out contact information and parent signature. HEALTH FORM
We utilize inclement weather opportunities to focus on agility training, strategy sessions, individual meetings.
The nearest airport is Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT. You are responsible for getting yourself to and from campus, adidas Tennis Camps does not provide transportation.
Any camper who must cancel prior to camp will receive a camp credit equal to the amount of camp tuition already paid. The credit is transferable to another family member and is good for any adidas Tennis Camp or eCamps Partner program through next summer (agreement begins at time of purchase). Any cancellation within 5 days of the start of camp will result in a camp credit minus $100 cancellation fee. Camp credits are not extended to campers who leave camp after the start of a session. CASH/CREDIT CARD REFUNDS ARE NOT OFFERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
In his 12th year of directing camps, Michael Filipek is the founder and director of the Michael Filipek Tennis & Sports Academy. He was born and raised in central Connecticut and as a player, he was twice the number one ranked junior tennis player in New England.
Michael was consistently a nationally ranked tennis player and received a scholarship to attend Indiana University. He captained the tennis team at Indiana and graduated in 1997. He subsequently gained professional tour experience in both the United States and Europe.
As a coach, Michael is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional and has fifteen years of full time teaching tennis experience. He is the Head Tennis Professional & Junior Development Director at Tennis in Manhattan operating three clubs in New York City and his Junior Development Program is the largest and most successful junior program in Manhattan.
Michael brings his passion and lifetime tennis experience as a player and a coach to the adidas Tennis Camps making this an excellent choice for a tennis camp in Connecticut. His enthusiastic and caring style inspires players of all ages and levels.
